Story Board: Final Draft

After the first storyboard I produced was not up to the standard I wanted it to be, I took all my ideas and began to rethink the shots and frame work in my trailer to make it flow better with not only the dialogue but also to be able to anchor the diegesis through the actors screen time as well. When dialogue is spoken in a voiceover it can sometimes lack to portray a storyline the way actors can do it through the use of onscreen dialogue. When the characters are in frame speaking (diegetic sound) it can be a lot easier for the audience to understand. Therefore when rethinking my trailer, I made sure to concentrate on characters in terms of their facial expressions, what type of shot (close up, mid shot, long shot) and the dialogue. These would all help to anchor the plot better and allow the diegesis to make sense to the audience. My second draft ended up being my final draft of the story board as I felt I had learnt a lot from my first storyboard and had now carefully considered character placement, sound, dialogue, camera shot, editing, framing, location as well as the order in which the shots would flow.
