Camera Workshop

We experimented taking over the shoulder shots for conversational purposes which may take place during the trailer - or just general interaction between characters. This enabled me to practice taking note of details such as  not 'crossing the line' when shooting over each person. These are basic rules when shooting over the shoulder shots as if the line is crossed the shots will not match up to look 'opposite' but will look like its been shot where characters are 'adjacent' to one another. Learning rules like this is extremely important when it comes to not only framing your shots but the way it all matches up when it comes to editing. We also looked at varying the over shoulder shots to make it more engaging by using high and low angles. In addition to looking at over the shoulder shots we also looked at tracking shots, arc shots and focus pulls. These skills will be put forward when making my trailer so as to include as many shots in as possible.
