- My audience survey has shown that the best location for a thriller trailer would be in a forest or wooded area. This would suit the genre as it conveys an eerie, mysterious, and haunted setting.
- My audience survey shows that they would prefer minimal characters, as it leaves more room for the victim's to have a sense of isolation and brings an element of danger for the protagonist.
- The best way my audience would prefer for speech to be conveyed in my trailer in the form of voiceover from the victims perspective. A voiceover is best in trailers as it allows for snippets of fast pace shots to be played without the need to considered dialogue in the scenes.
- Sound was considered very important among my audience survey results, this is because the use of ambient sounds and the correct sinister background music which highlights the tension of the trailer.
- The main events that where concluded from my audience survey were, a killing or a chase with the killer and the victim. This is very typical in the thriller film trailer.
- When watching a thriller film trailer, the audience would expect to feel mainly 'scared and tense'. This is the aim of thrillers, to leave the audience tense and on the edge of their seat.
- From the survey feedback there was an even spilt between people who preferred to stick to a conventional trailer.
- A thriller film trailer is preferred by my audience to be fast paced. This keeps up the tension of the trailer and adds to the suspense of the trailer. It is important for the trailer to be engaging to keep the audience wanting more.
- some one who is independent, a strong individual and someone who has the capacity to act in an endangering situation.
- My audience survey said they would prefer to see a female protagonist in the film trailer. With a female character they can feel independent and strong yet there is a certain venerability that they will feel in the place of danger and are stereotypically seen to be 'weaker' than men.
